Andrea Young
Creative Director

Andrea’s passion for flowers has taken her around the world and back again. From eight years in London to the last two in the city that never sleeps - New York. But she felt it was time to bring her ideas home and since arriving in Sydney she has launched The Flower Studio.

Since our launch we have had the pleasure of working with some of Sydney’s biggest names such as Bloomberg, HSBC, L’Oreal Luxury products, David Jones, Myer, Lamborghini, Tourism New Zealand, Lazard and Eight Hotels.

Andrea’s passion for flowers and colour started at an early age and her first step into the world of design was in 1991. She began her training with Bunches Florist in the heart of Wellington city, New Zealand and from there she moved to London and worked as a freelance designer specialising in event flowers.

Her journey continued onto New York where she worked for London based florist Jane Packer. Appointed as head designer at the Ritz Carlton Hotel on Central Park, Andrea had the privilege of designing the weekly flower installation for the hotel as well as many bouquets for celebrity clients from the world of film, TV and music. While in New York, she was also appointed Flower Course Director of the internationally renowned Jane Packer Flower School where she taught many students from the United States and from around the world.

Andrea has over 17 years experience in the flower industry and has trained with some of London’s finest florists such as Jane Packer Flowers, Paula Pryke Flowers, and McQueen’s of London. She has also studied horticulture.
